Veteran Sarah Schleper claimed the win in the first domestic race of the season, a US Ski Team FIS GS at Copper Mnt., Colo., Wednesday (Nov. 16). Schleper took the first run and held off the challenge of Mikaela Shiffrin, second, .41 back. Resi Steigler rounded out the podium spots in third another .20 back.
Laurenne Ross recorded the fastest second run time to finish fourth after having been 10th in the opening heat.
