Former U.S. Ski Team Racer Kaylin Richardson Takes Freeskiing Championship

Former World Cup racer Kaylin Richardson retired from the gates just two years ago after earning three national championships but the Minneapolis, Minn. native was back on a different type of podium today (March 17) at Snowbird, Utah taking the win in the North American Freeskiing World Tour Championships.

After taking the lead in yesterday’s first round, Richardson, a two-time Olympian, returned to Snowbird’s North Baldy today to take the win with a top two-run combined score of 70,30 points after showing the judges masterful skiing through moguls, down steep chutes and over cliff bands.

Crystal Wright took second with 67.30 points and Angel Collins finished third with 63.57 points.
