After only completing one downhill training run yesterday (Mar. 19), the men’s and women’s NorAm Cup downhill race in Le Massif, Quebec was postponed today (Mar. 20) due to poor weather conditions. The women were able to complete one run before temperatures rose too high. Tomorrow (Mar. 21) the women will resume racing and complete their second run starting at 8:30. After only fifteen of the men had run, officials decided to postpone the men’s downhill until Thursday morning (Mar. 22) when they will restart the entire men's race.

U.S. Ski Teamer Julia Ford, who claimed her second straight U.S. downhill championship last month, is in the lead after the first run; just .04 seconds ahead of teammate Abby Ghent. Canadian Larisa Yurkiw is in third.

The forecast for tomorrow shows sunshine throughout the day and fog that should dissipate in the morning. Officials are optimistic that the women will be able to complete their second run before temperatures rise.
