Six young men have been nominated for the US Ski Team's Development Team (“D” Team). Five of the six have previously been recognized by the team. The lone new face belongs to Waitsfield, Vt., resident and Green Mountain Valley School student Alexander Ginnis.

Ginnis joins Keiffer Christianson of Anchorage, Alaska and the Burke Mountain School, Robert Cone of Killington, Vt., and Middlebury College, Tanner Farrow from Ketchum, Idaho and the Sun Valley SEF, Nicholas Krause of Northborough, Mass., and attending the Stratton Mountain School and Matthew Strand from Lakeview, Minn., and Buck Hill.

The actual team will be announced this fall, naming those athletes who accept the responsibilities of being a part of the U.S. Alpine Ski Team and are planning to compete in the 2012-13 season.

The other team nominations had been previously announced.
