Finnish jumper takes bad training spill
Janne Happonen, a 25-year-old Finnish top-team jumper, suffered a serious injury in a training accident on June 12 at Kuopio, Finland. Happonen--following an MRI, was suffering from injuries of the ligaments of his left knee and will likely under go surgery in a week or two. Currently the timing of the rehab program is completely unknown, yet it is clear that recovery from an injury such as this can take a long period of time.
Already, two other Finnish jumpers (Janne Ahonen and Ville Larinto) have been sidelined by injury. The Finnish ski jumping team has been hard at working training at Courchevel, France. --Peter Graves
