Trading one kind of gold for a golden wedding band, 29-year-old Simon Ammann married his longtime sweetheart, Russian Yana Yanovskaya, in a private wedding over the weekend in the town of Pfaeffikon, Switzerland. They have been a couple for some four years now.

Ammann, who lives in Schindellegi, not only celebrated his wedding but also his birthday on June 25th, capping a year of gold of all sorts. Ammann, not only won double gold in ski jumping in Vancouver, but did the same thing at the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City. He also won the FIS Overall World Cup crown this past season.
