With temperatures in the low 40s, Fulvio Valbusa of Italy won the men's race in 34:06.1 and Frenchman Vincent Vittoz was second (34:19.0). Freeman's time was 36:25.8.

Czech Katerina Neumannova won the women's 10km FR in 25:32.1 with Russian Julia Tchepalova second (25:38.2). The U.S. team's Wendy Wagner was 54th.
