will present Scott with her gold medal.

In the wake of drug scandals following the Olympics, several athletes were stripped of their medals. As a result, Scott's bronze medal in the five-kilometer pursuit at the 2002 Olympic Winter Games was upgraded. She became a silver medallist in October 2003, and then was elevated to gold in December 2004.

In addition to Scott, the event will be attended by Michael Chambers, the president of the Canadian Olympic Committee; Charmaine Crooks, a Canadian member of the International Olympic Committee; Léopold Nadeau, President, Cross Country Canada;
Dave Wood, head coach, Canadian cross-country ski team; and Scott's teammates from the Canadian cross-country ski team.

The ceremony will begin at 11:30 PT on Friday, June 25. It will take place at the Vancouver Art Gallery at the Georgia Street Plaza. The ceremony will be immediately followed by a press conference.
