Miller's father, Woody, said the eight-killogram trophy was sent from Austria as checked baggage but by the time it got to Manchester Airport, it was in a "million pieces" in bubble wrap.

Miller, 27, a Franconia native, won the World Cup title and the trophy two weeks ago in Switzerland, becoming the first American in more than 22 years to do so.

A smaller Super-G trophy arrived in one piece, the elder Miller said.

Woody Miller said he will try to glue the trophy back into one piece, although WMUR-TV quoted Bode Miller on Monday as saying he can get a replacement trophy.
