Snow continued to fall Wednesday, making it difficult for workers to clear the Birds of Prey course and get to the groomed surface underneath.

Christoph Gruber of Austria had the fastest time in Tuesday's practice, but the cancellation will force the FIS to go in reverse order of the top 30 skiers on its start list, a ranking based on results of the past year, to determine the starting order for Friday's race.

Racing begins Thursday with a super G, followed by the downhill on Friday. A giant slalom is scheduled for Saturday and a slalom for Sunday.

Weather forecasts were still uncertain for Thursday.
