Disabled WC: American Cook 3rd in 15 km freestyle race{mosimage}LILLEHAMMER, Norway - Reigning World Cup champion Steve Cook (LW-4; Salt Lake City) finished third Sunday in a 15-kilometer disabled World Cup freestyle technique race to lead U.S. skier in the final race on the 1994 Paralympic trails.

Russian Kirill Mikhaylov (LW-4) won the standup category with an adjusted time of 48:04.3 and Cook finished in 48:56.7.

Elsewhere, Monica Bascio (LW-11; Evergreen, Colo.) was fifth in the women's sit-skier category with Candace Cable (LW-11; Truckee, Calif.) eighth, Chris Klebl (LW-11: Heber City, Utah) was ninth in the men's sit-skier ranks while Bob Balk (LW-12; Long Beach, Calif.) finished 12th.
