The Tour de Ski wrapped up today in Val di Fiemme, Italy. The seven-leg tour was capped with 11 km (men) and 9 km (women) pursuit races up the famous final climb to the Alpe Cermis.The Tour de Ski wrapped up today in Val di Fiemme, Italy. Today’s women’s race was taken by Norwegian Therese Johaug, teammate Kristin Stoermer Steira was just behind in second. Third place went to Ukrainian Valentina Shevchenko.

Finn Virpi Kuitunen finished 21st to hang on to her overall title after wining three tour legs. In second was teammate Anio-Kaisa Saarinen seven seconds back. Third went to Slovenian Petra Majdic.

Canadian Ivan Babikov won today’s men’s race. Tom Reichelt of Germany finished second followed by German Giorgio Di Centa.

Switzerland’s Dario Cologna took home the overall men’s title with a time of two hours 56 minutes. Petter Northug Jr. of Norway finished second one minue behind. German Axle Teichmann, winner of two tour legs, finished third. 

With their tour victories, both Kuitunen and Cologna will earn 400 FIS World Cup points.

The U.S did dot compete in the Tour de Ski.
