McIvorOlympic and World ski cross champion Ashleigh McIvor of Canada has ended her season.

On the eve of the X Games, one of the premier events of the sport, McIvor sustained what is being called a “suspected torn ACL” of her knee and has been ruled out of not only the X Games competition, but the rest of the season as well.

McIvor had built a reputation as a big event skier capturing the Olympic gold medal at Vancouver last season and the 2009 World Championship gold at Inawashiro. She finished second on the World Cup last season and had been among the more consistent skiers on the Cup tour this year with two podium and four top seven finishes.
