Who is racing, when are they racing and how to watch the World Cup finals super-Gs.
The season’s 25 top-ranked women and men have been invited to race in the super-G World Cup finals tomorrow in Soldeu, Andorra. Additionally, the Junior World Champions from each discipline qualify to race in their event.
Mikaela Shiffrin will ski in her first race of the 2023 finals. Maybe World Cup win 88 will be a super-G.
Unfortunately, the super-G Junior World Champion, Lara Colturi was injured in Méribel and will not start. Also, Romane Miradoli who was injured in Kvitfjell is not competing. However, superstar Petra Vlhova will use her 500 point status to start the super-G. Vlhova did not finish the one super-G she entered this season.
On the men’s side, Austrian Matthias Mayer retired mid-season. Additionally, France’s Cyprien Sarrazin has not started since his crash on February 7th and Canadian NCAA skier, MSU Bobcat Brodie Seger, chose not to race. However, when you include Livio Hiltbrand the Swiss Junior World Champion, the entire men’s field is 23 racers.
The weather is partially cooperating with clear skies overnight and the women should experience a good surface. However, the men’s raceI will require chemicals from top to bottom.
Switzerland’s Marco Odermatt will race having already earned the season’s super-G title and on the women’s side it is still very close and five women are mathematically still in contention.
Four North Americans will race in tomorrow’s super-G World Cup finals.

The women’s race is first tomorrow and will begin at 5:00 am Eastern time and 2:00 am on the West Coast. The men’s race will start at 6:30 Eastern and 3:30 am on the West Coast. A live and full replay with English-speaking announcers is available on Ski and Snowboard Live. Only the women’s race will be simulcast on Peacock and re-aired on CNBC an hour later.
