Professor Peter Schröcksnadel was unanimously re-elected for another three-year tenure at the 76th State Conference of the Austrian Ski Federation. Schröcksnadel, who will turn 70 on 30th July, was first elected in 1990 and will now serve until 2014.

Former slalom World Cup winner Roswitha (Steiner) Stadlober, was elected Vice-President. The board of the Austrian Ski Federation now comprises Schröcksnadel, Stadlober, Toni Leikam, Franz Schellhorn, Hannes Trinkl, Franz Patscheider, as well as Dr Peter Mennel as treasurer and Dr. Klaus Leistner as Secretary.

Numerous awards were handed out to athletes including alpine world champions Anna Fenninger, Elisabeth Goergl and Marlies Schild, ski jumping world champ Daniela Iraschko, Martin Koch, Andreas Kofler, Thomas Morgenstern and Gregor Schlierenzauer. The Velden Assembly also presented Hofrat University Prof. Dr. Ernst Raas with the “Snow crystal of Ski Sports” (Schneekristall des Skisports). This award, created in 1992, is given to personalities that have truly excelled in the promotion of skiing. The last recipient of this award was Toni Sailer in 2009.
