Bloom wins fifth straight World Cup moguls event{mosimage}NAEBA, Japan – Jeremy Bloom edged Canada’s Marc-Andre Moreau on Friday to win his fifth straight World Cup moguls title.

Bloom, who won two World Cup events here a week ago, received 27.77 points from the judges and solidified his lead in the overall standings. Moreau was second with 27.21 points while Australia’s Dale Begg-Smith finished third with 27.12 points.

Bloom now has 640 points after 10 of 12 moguls events. Fellow American Nathan Roberts is second with 422 points followed by Begg-Smith with 401.

In the women’s event, World Cup leader Jennifer Heil of Canada edged Norway’s Kari Traa for her third straight moguls victory. American Jillian Vogtli finished third in Friday’s race.

Heil now has 706 points in the standings, followed by Traa (449) and Austria’s Margarita Marbler (438).
