The made-for-television event, considered by many to be the premier celebrity golf tournament, will be shown by NBC, features a record $600,000 purse and utilizes a 54-hole test over three days. Proceeds from the event go to the Lance Armstrong Foundation providing information and tools for people living with cancer and toward cancer research.

Odds of Miller winning the event (it is Nevada after all) are listed as 200 to one while seven time (and defending) champion Rick Rhoden is listed at nine to five. Rhoden, a former all-star MLB pitcher worked with the LA Dodgers, the Pittsburgh Pirates, New York Yankees and Houston Astros and holds the distinction of being the only pitcher to ever start a game as a designated hitter. He also is a professional golfer since retiring from baseball in 1989.

Miller’s odds might not be that bad. He finished 54th last season winning a little over $3,000.
