It was Burke and GMVS taking complete control of the Marriott U16 women’s GS at Sugarloaf March 10.

Mountain Mansfield got fifth and the Black and Blue Trail Smashers of Waterville Valley ninth. The rest of the top 10 (13 really) was controled by the Green Mountain School (third, sixth, eighth and tenth) and Burke Mountain Academy which swept the top two placings, plus fourth, plus seventh. For good measure the BMA skiers took 11 through 13 as well.

The newly crowned champion Bridget Currier was a shade shy of taking the win by a full second (.97) over Nina O’Brien. Ali Nullmeyer was third another half second out. Alli Price was third and the first skier not from Burke or GMVS was Sandra Schoepke, MMSC, in fifth.

Nicole Leibundgut scored sixth, Madison Lord seventh, Rebecca Ryan eighth, BBTS skier Rachel Nawrocki was ninth and Eva Shaw tenth.
