The win is Fisher’s second NorAm victory of the season, and with the result, he’s now finished in the top-five in each of the 2005-06 NorAm speed events. ‘Fisher has been skiing well all season’ said NorAm/Europa Cup coach Andrew Cesati, ‘but he’s found another gear now, and he’s skiing clean.’

Though warm temperatures provided an advantage for those who started early, Fisher’s teammate TJ Lanning, who has also been strong all season, put down a ripper and skied from bib 24 to second-place.

Canada’s Jeffrey Frisch rounded out the podium and built on an already impressive NorAm season. Frisch is a solid four event skier, and in nine NorAm starts this year, he’s posted seven top-10 finishes, four of which of have been top fives.

C team member Andrew Weibrecht claimed top-junior honors by tying both World Cup GS ace Dane Spencer and Canadian Gareth Sine for sixth place overall.

The Apex super G series comes to an end on Feb. 8, after which both men and women will race a series of two super G’s and two downhills at Big Mountain in Montana.
