Recap
Those team managers who overload their squads with women might be rethinking the strategy after a World Cup weekend with no women’s races on the schedule. Though in terms of standings it worked out for the Schwarzeneggers and Hawk’s Harem, as their zero-zero tie moved both ahead of any 1 win, 1 loss teams regardless of point total.

Points winner of the week was the Destroyers with a massive 231 total (massive for a two-race weekend anyway), getting 125 from Kjetil Aamodt’s two top-fives and scoring Benni Raich’s second in the SG slot (plus a bonus from Johann Grugger).

But it was the Golden Ribbons putting the hurt on the scoreboard, staying undefeated and bumping its two-week point total to 242, one point better than the newly renamed Bottle Rockets (The Vintonators last time you looked). The Ribbons scored solidly with Michael Walchhofer (7th and 10th) and Rahlves’ third. The Bottle Rockets had Raich for 80 points and Cuche for 23, missing out when Rahlves didn’t get DH points.

Birds of Pray leads the total point column with 265 followed closely by the Destroyers at 258. BoP had four players score: Bode Miller, Lasse Kjus, Hermann Maier in DH and Walchhofer’s SG points.

The Hammers capitalized on Strobl’s win for a nice rebound while the Warriors and the Blacks both at least pushed their opponents. The same cannot be said of the beloved Smokin’ Mirrors who have, in four races, accumulated 24 points to cling with force to last place.
