THE BIRDS OF PRAY SWEPT
into the lead of the Moser-Proell Division with a 536-267 demolition of The Destroyers, picking up 200 from Michael Walchhofer's double win in the Bormio downhills, adding 130 from Kathrin Zettel in slalom and another 100 from Bode Miller's super G win at Hinterstoder on the opening day of the scoring week. The Destroyers countered with 130 from Julia Mancuso in a two-race score spree, and added 80 from Nicole Hosp in GS, but was hopelessly outnumbered.
Interosseous Membrane dropped out of the undefeated ranks and into second in the standings as Hilary's Hellacious Hardcore handed out a 414-280 bombasting, which might have gone higher had Anja Paerson's knee not acted up before the Semmering slalom. The Hardcore caught 136 from Paerson anyway over three races she did complete in and got 200 more from Peter Fill over a four-race scorefest and that was all that was needed. The Membrane was looking solid when overall choice Mario Scheiber snatched a pair of DH podiums, but there was no backup and the goose egg in the loss column gaveway.
The Ribbons eked out a 390-371 victory over the Balloon Animal Commandos. Powered by 182 from Aksel Svindal and maxing out scoring possibilities from Hermann Maier, the Ribbons got just enough to overcome a two-podium performance from Commando ace Kathrin Zettel.
Despite just a 177 total from the White Circus Watch (100 of those from Lindsey Kildow) it was still enough to keep the Blacks from sneaking into the win column. A 116 Blacks total was highlighted by 45 from Michaela Kirchgasser in GS.

Sammyz Slammers went ballistic on Team PMS, pounding the No. 1 team 632-205 to charge on past and into the lead of the Stenmark Division. It wasn't pretty for PMS fans, as three Slammer athletes topped 160: Marlies Schild with 220 in an overall post, Didier Cuche with 172 in the other overall post and Schild again with a 160 in slalom. Team PMS got 100 from Zettel in GS but no other position broke above 40.
Dave's Dumpster Divers surged up the standings, despite narrowly getting past The Hammers 296-236. The Divers had only two athletes score, but one was Bode Miller with a win and two fourths for 200 points and the other was Peter Fill in a DH position for 96. The Hammers had Bode matched with Walchhofer's two wins, but had little other support.
Kevlar Lederhosen put a hurting on the Smokin' Mirrors 290-151, getting points from all six positions. The biggest bump was 80 from Peter Fill in SG. The Mirrors looked good early in the week with 100 from Kildow in the DH position, but had nothing the rest of the week save 49 points from Andrea Fischbacher in three scoring races.
Rick's Rangers rallied past the Rand Corporation with Marco Buechel tallying 116 over three races with the Corporation having 119 in three races from Nicole Hosp.  Kalle Palander's podium in the Hinterstoder GS was the saving grace for the Rangers.

DeWitt Cave posted a potent 537-point week with both overall positions (Walchhofer and Zettel) topping the 200 plateau and Kildow kicking in another 100 in DH. That dumped MGB's 229-point effort from five of the six positions, headed by Hosp with 89 over two races.
NY8739 dispatched Extremeskier handily, despite 220 from Schild in an overall post. The NY-number topped the league with 540 counts with four positions bringing in more than 100 points each: Anja Paerson got 100 in two races, Buechel added 116 from two races, Walchhofer doubled that in the DH post with the back-to-back contribution and Zettel added 100 from her GS win.
Kashalot kept pace with the league leader, scratching out a 322-304 win over Tristate Alumni primarily due to Schild's two slalom podiums and 80 from Hosp in the GS position. Tristate had 200 from Miller and 93 from Maier in overall positions, the former with a three-race contribution and the latter offering up four scores to add to the total.
Sbtski was exactly 100 ahead of Skibum for the win, with Svindal and Julia Mancuso doing most of the damage in overall positions. The Bums had 100 from Kildow, 76 from Buechel in the downhill position and 40 each from Alexandra Meissnitzer and Massimiliano Blardone, but fell way short of the requirement.
