A meeting of the FIS Ski Jumping Committee in Zurich gives us a brief glimpse of what next year’s ski jumping season might look like, pending approval by the FIS at their annual conference in Turkey in early May.

The Summer Grand Prix tour will again start at Hinterzarten, Germany this summer Aug. 7 and 8. Events in Pregelato, Italy, Courchevel, France and Einsiedeln, Switzerland will be held after the season opener. Then there will be a pair of late summer comps in late August in Wisla, Poland instead of the traditional stop at Zakopane. Followed by a trip to Japan while the Grand Prix will wrap up with October events in Liberec and Klingenthal.

As it has been for the last several year’s, the FIS World Cup season will again kick off for the flyers in Kuusamo, Finland. During the season all eyes will be on the FIS World Nordic Championships scheduled for Oslo, February 22nd to March 6, 2011. Of course, the annual four-hills in on the calendar, with the ski flying World Cup finals concluding the season in March at Planica, Slovenia.
