Fischer skis has added a couple of Americans to its roster: Nolan Kasper and Erik Fisher.

Kasper moves from Rossignol and Fisher from Atomic.

“I wanted to try out something different,” said Kasper, “That was what motivated me.” In testing the Fischer gear he said the package seemed to be “the best choice for me and will certainly help me take the next steps in my career.”

Kasper’s career would appear ready for another surge. He scored a podium finish at the end of the 2011 season. Despite hip surgery in late in the preparation period a year ago he tallied three top 10 slalom finishes last season. A mirror surgery on his other hip was performed right after the racing season this year.

He said his main goal is to have fun and ski fast, adding he will explore adding GS to his resume’.

Fisher joins Steven Nyman as speed specialists on the US team, which according to Fischer race director Siegi Voglreiter is no coincidence. “It is easier to make progress and test as a team,” said Voglreiter.

Kasper and Fisher expand Fischer’s presence on the men’s team where they join Tim Jitloff, Tommy Ford and Will Brandenburg.
