Former Obermeyer exec Bill Post to head Nordica Apparel{mosimage}The Tecnica Group has appointed Bill Post president and CEO of Nordica Apparel.
    Post, a 30-year veteran of the outdoor/winter clothing industry, successfully managed Nordica Skiwear through the 1990s before becoming president of Sport Obermeyer in 2000.
    “I see my new challenge as repositioning and re-energizing the apparel initiative while capitalizing on the increasing strength of the Nordica brand image in the marketplace,” Post said. “I have a great team in place and we’re excited for this opportunity.”
    Nordica Apparel had previously been produced under a licensee agreement. With the new initiative, Nordica will now have complete control of its brand image, and can take advantage of the strength, and success of the other Nordica products. Nordica has earned a well-deserved reputation for producing high-quality alpine skis and ski boots worldwide.
    Nordica Apparel will launch its first line in 2007.
