“I want to be a force to be reckoned with again next season,” Hölzl said. “I was very fast with the new equipment in the tests. [Denise] Karbon and [Nicole] Gius showed how fast they are with the package last season. That certainly made my decision easier and I don't think I can go wrong with this choice.”
Hölzl has nine World Cup top 10’s and finished second in the GS at the 2007 World Cup Finals at Lenzerheide. She finished sixth in GS at the 2007 World Championships.
“Kathrin Hölzl is already one of the best giant slalom racers in the world. In my opinion she has the potential to win the discipline globe in giant slalom and also a medal at the World Championships,” said Fischer Racing Director Siegi Voglreiter.
