After a positive experience last year with the women’s slalom team, this year the Italian men’s World Cup slalom team will train for four days at the “Snow Arena” in Druskininkai, an indoor facility located near the capital of Lithuania.

Sporting director Max Rinaldi says Stefano Gross, Cristian Deville, Riccardo Tonetti, Giordano Ronci, Patrick Thaler and Giuliano Razzoli, who is recovering from inflammation in the patellar tendon in his right knee, will all train at the facility later this week. Joining them will be coaches Stefano Costazza, Simone Del Dio, and Angelo Weiss.

The indoor facility opened in 2011 and is one of the largest indoor skiing slopes in the world at a length of 460 meters. The temperature inside the arena is kept between 24-28 degrees Fahrenheit, so it can operate year round.
