Paula Moltzan narrowly took the Rocky-Central JIII Junior Olympic super G Sunday by a little over a tenth of second over downhill champ Celine Guilmineau. A Buck Hill racer, Moltzan charged through.

JO’s: Cross country sprint results from Truckee     
Competition kicked off today at the 2009 Cross Country Ski Junior Olympics and XC Junior National Championships in Truckee, Cali, hosted by Auburn Ski Club and the Far West Nordic Ski Education Association. Men and women racers OJ-J2 were tested on a 1K-sprint course at Donner Summit.

The 2009 Cross Country Junior Olympics wrapped up today in Truckee Cali. with team relays. The northeastern team of Stratton Mountain skiers Heather Mooney and Cambria McDermott and Cambridge Sports Union’s Corey Stock won the J2 women’s race.

The 2009 Freestyle Junior Olympics continued Saturday with aerials competitions in Waterville Valley, New Hampshire. Sami Palmer (FLY) took the women’s overall victory, followed by Water Valley’s own five-discipline threat Jamie Crane-Mauzy in second and Abigail Miles (MOU) in third.

The 2009 Freestyle Junior Olympics in Waterville Valley, New Hampshire wrapped up Sunday as Mount Snow Academy’s Devin Logan and Waterville Valley’s Scott Neslon claimed titles in the freestyle combined.

JO’s: Shiffrin dominates Eastern JIII’s, Duffy, Boardman excel
Mikaela Shiffrin dominated the Eastern JIII Junior Olympic at Gore Mountain, NY.  The Lyme, NH skier took the slalom March 14, by a stunning 2.65 seconds over Elle Gilbert.
