Kitzbühel DH, SG wiped out by weather
Next week's men's World Cup event at the famous Hahnenkamm course in Kitzbühel was reduced to just two slalom races on Saturday.
KITZBÜHEL, Austria — Next week's men's World Cup event at the famed Hahnenkamm course in Kitzbühel was reduced to just two slalom races on Saturday.
The downhill and super G races were canceled when warm weather made it impossible to prepare the course for the disciplines, Michael Huber, chief of the organizing committee in Kitzbühel, said at a press conference.
The event now consists of a slalom race on Jan. 27 and another Jan. 28.
There are no World Cup speed races left before the start of the World Championships in Are, Sweden, on Feb. 3.
