Lara Gut underwent an MRI on Sunday (March 2) following the downhill race in Crans Montana, Switzerland, where it was evident she sustained some injury to her right knee. Gut limped in the finish area of the race after skiing off course and failing to complete the run.

At first examination, Dr. Olivier Siegrist in Martigny, Switzerland found that Gut has suffered a minor injury of the meniscus in her right knee, and subsequent swelling has occurred. There is no ligament damage. A medical follow-up will take place before the departure for Are, Sweden. Gut will travel to Sweden and will decide whether she can start in the two World Cup giant slalom races scheduled for the end of the week once she is there.
