When Sweden’s alpine journalists, SAJ, voted for the best skiers and rising stars from the 2013/14 season, it was Jessica Lindell-Vikarby and Kajsa Kling who came into focus.

The Association of Swedish Alpine Journalists had many athletes to choose from for their rising star and best skier awards, but the final tallies showed two worthy recipients.

Lindell-Vikarby posted five podium finishes in the World Cup this season, and she finished as runner-up in the giant slalom standings behind Austria’s Anna Fenninger. Kling was named “rising star” after finally getting her big break with five results inside the top 10 on the World Cup circuit this season.

It was the 27th year in a row that the Swedish alpine journalists gave out the awards.
