Macartney top American in Lake Louise training
The Canadians took the third and final training run
The Canadians took the third and final training run at Lake Louise today with John Kucera nabbing the fastest time—1:47.26. Scott Macartney was the top American, finishing fifth, .73 seconds behind Kucera. Marco Sullivan also skied well, winding up 16th, with a time of 1:48.50. Up-and-comer Andrew Weibrecht was just behind Sully in 19th (1:48.63).
American Steve Nyman didn’t have his best run, finishing 2.12 seconds behind Kucera, ending up 38th, and Jeremy Transue was 2.33 seconds out, in 44th. Teammates TJ Lanning and Bode Miller (who won the first two training runs) opted not to ski today.
