Mammoth Spring: Super-G races canceled
The men’s and women’s FIS Spring Series super-G races at Mammoth Mountain were canceled Wednesday due to extremely high winds.
The men’s race was underway, with about 24 racers already down the course and almost 80 left, when the race was called off.
Of the racers who were able to run, Monday’s SG winner Erik Fisher was in the lead with a time of 1 minute, 13.72 seconds, followed by World Cup speed force Marco Sullivan (1:14.11) and junior racer Thomas Biesemeyer (1:14.43).
