Nor-Am Cup: Ford takes third in Craigleith
American Julia Ford took third at today’s Northwest Funds Coupe Nor-Am Cup slalom at Craigleith Ski Club. After two runs she was .6 seconds behind Canadian Marie-Michèle Gagnon, who won the first Nor-Am slalom of her career. In second was Canadian development team skier Eve Routhier. Today’s result was Routhier’s first career Coupe Nor-Am Cup podium. Americans Laurenne Ross and Moe Hanaoka also cracked the top ten in fifth and seventh respectively.
The Northwest Funds Coupe Nor-Am Cup races continue tomorrow at Craigleith with a slalom, then heads to Georgian Peaks, ON for giant slalom races Monday and Tuesday.
The men’s Nor-Am schedule has slalom and giant slalom races getting underway Monday in Sunday River, Maine.
