American Billy Demong finished second in today’s World Cup nordic combined competition in Schonach, Germany. The result marks Demong’s third podium of the season and the 12th of his career. The win went to Finn Anssi Koivuranta with Bjoern Kircheisen of Germany rounding out the podium in third.   

American Billy Demong finished second in today’s World Cup nordic combined competition in Schonach, Germany. The result marks Demong’s third podium of the season and the 12th of his career. The win went to Finn Anssi Koivuranta with Bjoern Kircheisen of Germany rounding out the podium in third.   

Following a sixth-place finish in a team event yesterday, Demong skied today’s second fastest 10K, launching him up 16 spots after the jumping portion of the event landed him in 18th place.

Teammates Johnny Spillane (12th), Todd Lodwick (14th) and Brett Camerota (33rd) were also in action today.
