Norway’s Magnus Moan won his third World Cup nordic combined competition of the season today in Val di Femme, Italy. The event marked the 25-year-old’s 100th World Cup appearance and tenth career win. He is now in second place in the World Cup standings, less than 100 points behind leader Anssi Koivuranta of Finland, who did not compete today due to illness.Norway’s Magnus Moan won his third World Cup nordic combined competition of the season today in Val di Femme, Italy. Moan’s teammate Jan Schmid joined him no the podium in second. Third went to Pavel Churavy of the Czech Republic.

The top American was Johnny Spillane finishing ninth, followed by Bill Demong in 14th. Demong is now in third place in the World Cup standings.

The nordic combined World Cup now heads to Vancouver, CAN for competitions Jan. 16-17.
