Ski Racing Development (SRD) and World Cup Supply (WCS) have teamed up to offer the “Fast Skier” Junior Alpine Scholarship Fund that will be awarded to the USSA J3 or J2 athlete who exhibits the personal characteristics required for success both on and off the hill.

The  fund will award $1,000 in financial assistance and will be handed out annually in May to a junior racer who shows dedication, talent, integrity, and a passion for ski racing and knows the importance of academics and community involvement.
“The creation of the fund is something we are really proud of,” said Brad Williams of World Cup Supply. “It represents our commitment to the kids and families who devote so much time and energy to an ever increasingly expensive sport, while recognizing not only athletic talent, but also strong individual character. We  hope that there will be lots of interest in this and that through this effort we might encourage other businesses involved in ski racing to do the same. Partnering with Barry at SRD made perfect sense to us as together we cover both aspects of the alpine race world – the athlete and the actual event.”
Barry Levinson of SRD added: “By establishing this fund with Brad, we are hoping to help a deserving racer reduce the financial burden on their family, pursue new competitive and/or scholastic opportunities and to demonstrate our commitment to the development of ski racing at the junior level.”
