The free technique portion of the U.S. Cross Country Championships that was to take place today in Anchorage, AK has been canceled and will be held tomorrow, Monday, Jan. 5 starting later than the published start time of 10:00AM. The distances for the free technique event have been reduced to 5km for women and 10km for men. Yesterday’s sprints were also cancelled due to low temperatures in Alaska. Further changes to the competition program will be announced at the team captains’ meeting at 1800 tonight at the Kincaid Chalet. A reschedule of the sprint race is also under consideration.
