Wallisch takes Dew Tour slopestyle gold in Breckenridge
The first stop of the 2012 Winter Dew Tour wrapped up today (Dec. 18) in Breckenridge, Colo. Salt Lake City native Tom Wallisch closed the show with the slopesyle gold medal.
Wallisch, part of the new U.S. Freeskiing pro team, pulled in a top score of 92.75 on his second run. He was the only skier to hit a score in the 90s
Nick Goepper took the silver with 88 points and Canadian Alexis Godbout was one point behind in third place.
Today’s field was thick with top talent. X-Games gold medalist Bobby Brown finished sixth, while world champion Alex Schlopy took seventh.
The Dew Tour’s next stop is in Killington, Vermont for the Pantech Invitational Jan. 19-22.
