Utes Lead Team Points, But Colorado Buffs Shine Individually at NCAA Championships Slalom on Howelsen Hill

Last night on Howelsen Hill in Steamboat Springs, it was an excellent night to be a Colorado Buff. The team won both the men and the women’s slalom. Magdalena Luczak and Filip Whalqvist claimed victory at the 2024 NCAA slalom Championships. However, the Utes still remained on top of the team standings.

The University of Utah Shines with Day One Success at NCAA Championships

The alpine ski races kicked off the 2024 NCAA Championships in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The University of Utah came out on top with 154.5 points, the University of Colorado ended the day in 2nd with 137.5, and the University of Denver had 133 points.

EISA’s Class of 2024 Reflects on a Unique Journey

Last weekend at the Middlebury Regional Championships and this week at the NCAA National Championships in Steamboat, the EISA’s Class of 2024 wraps up the final college racing turns of their undergraduate careers. Thanks to the 2020 COVID pandemic, most of them had no college racing as First Years, when Ivy League and NESCAC schools canceled their 202/21 competition seasons. Instead, they scrambled to train and race through pandemic restrictions and strict quarantine requirements that forced athletes to pick a state and stay there.

Recap: RMISA Alpine Qualifiers and RMISA Championships in Big Sky Resort, Montana

Recap: Last weekend the men and women of the Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association (RMISA) competed in Big Sky Resort, Montana, in the RMISA Alpine Qualifiers and the RMISA Championships. It was an intense battle for the athletes as it marked the final events before NCAA Championships. As a team, the CU Buffs came out on top of the 75th Annual RMISA Championships.
