On Friday, April 17, Mikaela Shiffrin will join musical artist KT Tunstall for a virtual music series in support of Goggles for Docs.

Goggles for Docs is a grassroots effort that has been working tirelessly to support health care workers on the frontlines of the coronavirus pandemic by offering them ski and snowboard goggles for eye protection during treatments. To date, nearly 30,000 goggles have been donated to hospitals and clinics around North America.

The ski racing community already knows Shiffrin as one of the most dominant ski racers on the World Cup, but Shiffrin is also an avid guitar player and vocalist, a hobby she has picked up to help pass the time when not traveling around the world competing.

KT Tunstall is a Scottish singer-songwriter best know for her early 2000s hits, ‘Suddenly I See’ and ‘Black Horse And The Cherry Tree’. Her music has been featured in various films and TV shows such as The Devil Wears Prada and Grey’s Anatomy.

For 30-45 minutes, the pair will perform après ski style sets from their living rooms in an effort to raise awareness around the organization’s cause. To watch, tune at facebook.com/REVERB at 7 p.m. ET and 4 p.m. PT.
