Twenty-one men and 19 women have been named to the Swedish national team for the 2021-22 season. The roster was mostly unchanged ahead of the Olympic season, yet in combination with sponsor Svenska Spel, the association is identifying training groups for both the men and women.

Leading the 40 Swedes are Anna Swenn Larsson, Sara Hector, and Kristoffer Jakobsen. With the COVID restrictions from the previous year and Swenn Larsson’s season ending injury, the Swedes secured just a single podium on the World Cup from Hector in the giant slalom at Courchevel. Despite capturing a silver medal in the team event this year, the Swedes finished below expectations.

Sponsor Svenska Spel, the largest gaming company in the country, named a new training group for the upcoming season. This new training group appropriately named “Svenksa Spel” will be focus on establishing themselves in the World Cup and Europa Cup circuit. Meanwhile, Training Group 1 and the speed team will primarily focus on obtaining Olympic participation next season.
