David Chodounsky has signed a two-year contract extension with Nordica that will last through the 2017-2018 World Cup season.

Chodounsky enjoyed a breakthrough season in World Cup slalom in 2015-16. Chodounsky’s results included finishing in the top 15 in five World Cup slaloms, winning his fourth U.S. National slalom title, and he is now ranked 14th in the world in that event.

With his eyes set on World Championships in St. Moritz in 2017 and the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympic Games, Chodounsky shows no signs of slowing down.

“Dave has been making steady step by step progress with his skiing and his hard work in the gym during the off seasons has really been paying off,” said Sasha Rearick, U.S. Ski Team head men’s coach. “Now that Dave has earned a spot in the top-15 start order, he will be in a much better position to attack the podium next season.”

Chodounsky, along with Dominik Paris, Fritz Dopfer, and German superstar Felix Neureuther, will lead the charge for Nordica next season.

“I’m super excited to partner with Nordica for another two years and continue to be a part of the Nordica family,” said Chodounsky. “I have skied on Nordica for over 10 years now and they’ve always built top notch products and provided incredible service I can rely on to get the job done on race day.”
