The first-ever “Lange Girl Athlete” from 2007 will return to the boot brand in 2015-16, as Julia Mancuso switched to Stoeckli skis is also making a come back to the Lange family. After having spent the largest part of her career with Lange, the American racer will once again wear the iconic blue boots during the next three seasons.

The Rossignol Group (manufacturers and distributors of Rossignol, Dynastar, Lange, and Look) also announced the signing of several additional new contracts for next winter.

At nearly 30 years of age, Jens Byggmark gives a second breath to his career with a two-year contract on the brand that helped launch him in the sport. The Swedish slalom skier has eight World Cup podiums including a particularly memorable double victory in Kitzbuehel in 2007.

“I’m super happy to be back to where it all started. Rossignol was the brand that took me into the Swedish Junior team and already there they gave me massive support. It feels so good how Rossi is welcoming me into their team and I’m so excited to work with the whole crew and to make me as fast as I know I can be!” Byggmark said of the transition.

Italian speed specialist Werner Heel, who has collected a total of 10 World Cup podiums, will also make his return to Rossignol. A previous Rossignol skier, it’s the brand with which he earned numerous successes, and he will also use Lange boots.

“I’m really happy to be back in the Rossignol/Lange family, with the team I had my greatest results. I’m happy to have found a very motivated team, with the strict focus on outstanding achievements. I’m sure that together we can again fight constantly for top positions,” said Heel. “I’m very thankful for the great opportunity Rossignol gave me and I can’t wait to face this new challenge!”

The Rossignol Team reinforces its presence in Austria with the arrival of three additional heroes. The young and promising speed skier Otmar Striedinger will be accompanied by his teammate Florian Scheiber. On the technical side, Michael Matt – the younger brother of recently retired slalom star Mario – will now compete on Rossignol equipment.

“We had some testing days in April in Soelden. During that, I took the decision to work together with Rossignol. I appreciate the commitment of the brand in this project and the perfect solution we found with skis service and boots service. I have to get used to the Rossignol’s staff and I will be back on snow this summer to finalize my set-up for next season,” Striedinger said.
