With numerous top honors in the past season – including two wins, two second-place finishes, and four fourth-place finishes – top Austrian athlete Eva-Maria Brem secured the World Cup giant slalom globe in the 2015-16 season. Now she will continue to trust in her familiar equipment but also make targeted improvements for the future.

Brem has extended her contract with Marker bindings and Volkl skis for the next two years. For the 2016-17 season, the 27-year-old GS ace will also use Dalbello’s DRS World Cup boots (replacing her Fischer boots of the past). The athlete from Tirol will be equipped to build on her World Cup success and fulfill the dream of her first world championship medal at the marquee event of 2017 in St. Moritz.

“Eva-Maria raced sensationally in the last season, and we’re overjoyed to continue our cooperation,” Marker Dalbello Volkl Racing Director Klaus Gatterman rejoiced over his flagship athlete. “She’s a great person. It’s always fun to hone the gear with her and the contract extension just motivates us to support her even more so that this coming season can be even more successful.”

Michael Mangold from racing management echoed his sentiment.

“The cooperation with Eva-Maria is highly professional and that a top athlete like her is continuing with Marker and Volkl – as well as starting with Dalbello – is testimony to the success of our products, as well as to the reliable work of our service crew,” Mangold said. “Each brand of the Marker Volkl Dalbello trio is a specialist in its space and stands for highly technical and sophisticated products. In intensive testing, skis, bindings, and boots are calibrated to each other down to the smallest detail. Our goal for the future is to always offer our athletes the perfect package. That Eva-Maria is moving to Dalbello in a world championship year excites us even more. With the established Marker Völkl setup supplemented with made-in-Italy Dalbello ski boots, Eva-Maria will be fully armed for further successes.”

Two other World Cup athletes from the Austrian team are betting on the three brands. Speed specialists Tamara Tippler and Sabrina Maier will be outfitted by Marker, Dalbello and Volkl for the next two years, and will attempt to build on the successes of their teammates including Conny Huetter.
