BREAKING: Pinturault Wins Bansko Combined
Frenchman and reigning World Champion, Alexis Pinturault, dominated the field in the men’s World Cup combined in Bansko, Bulgaria, en route to his first World Cup win of the season.
Pinturault finished with a two-run time of 1:55.55 seconds, 0.68 seconds ahead of second-place finisher, Austrian great, Marcel Hirscher. Slovenia’s Stefan Hadalin, who was also the 2019 World Championship combined silver medalist, rounded out the podium in third, 0.69 seconds back.
Canada’s Trevor Philp finished in a career-best fifth, 1.15 seconds off the pace.
Ted Ligety led the American contingent in 13th place. Ryan Cochran-Siegle finished 17th and Bryce Bennett finished 25th.
