Kirchgasser injures knee in Courchevel
32-year-old Austrian Michaela Kirchgasser injured her right knee while preparing for the women’s World Cup parallel slalom in Courchevel, France, on Wednesday.
After returning to Innsbruck for further evaluation, Kirchgasser suffered a strained right ACL and a bone bruise according to the Austrian Ski Federation.
Federation doctor Christian Fink says the three-time World Championship medalist will miss the next three to four weeks before a return to skiing is possible.
