After a crash Saturday morning in the slalom in Semmering, Norweigan Nina Haver-Løseth was helped off course by her team and taken to the hospital, where she discovered she had incurred a tibial fracture and meniscus in her right knee. Fortunately, all of the major tendons within the knee are still intact. The 29-year-old underwent immediate surgery and will have to miss the remainder of the 2018/19 season.

Løseth hooked a tip just within reach of the finish and despite the disappointment that comes with a season-ending injury, she put out a positive message on her Instagram indicating she is looking forward to beginning the road to recovery.

According to Tim Gfeller, the Norweigan national team manager, she will be brought back to Oslo for further assessment before any plans can be made surrounding her rehabilitation program and potential return.
