Nullmeyer suffers season-ending injury
Nor-Am Cup overall and slalom title holder Ali Nullmeyer tore both her right and left anterior cruciate ligaments (ACL) and tore her left lateral meniscus in a fall during training on Thursday. Nullmeyer was training in Europe for the upcoming World Cup in Soelden, Austria.
Nullmeyer is headed back to Canada and anticipates undergoing surgery next week. She expects a full return to the World Cup circuit for the 2018-19 season and will be cheering on her teammates throughout this season.
The 19-year-old made her World Cup debut at the 2017 World Championships last season in slalom where she finished 27th. She was also part of Team Canada at the 2017 World Junior Championships that took gold in the Team Event.
Alpine Canada wishes this young, promising athlete a speedy recovery and a healthy return to the World Cup.
