Heavy snowfall over the past several days in the Tyrol region of Austria has forced the cancellation of this weekend’s women’s World Cup speed races in St. Anton, Austria.

Originally scheduled for downhill on the 12th and super-G on the 13th of January, FIS has announced that the downhill race will be made up in Cortina, Italy, on Friday, January 18. FIS has not announced a replacement venue for the super-G race. American Lindsey Vonn, who has missed the first races of the season due to injury, was set to make her return to the World Cup this weekend in St. Anton.
