"This is my fifth ski cross ever and my first time at the X Games and I don't think anyone believed in me, so I hope someone believes in me now," Kerr said. "I know now that I'm fast enough. I thought I could do it and after today I know I can, so hopefully I'll get a good start and the finals will go well."
Kerr finished at 88.881 ahead of Canadian Davey Barr, who came in at 89.093. U.S. skiers Casey Puckett finished third at 89.093 followed by Daron Rahlves in fifth at 89.868 and Jake Fiala in 13th at 91.170.
